ST LEGER AT LONG LAST
Frankie Dettori finally captured the only British Classic to have escaped Sir Michael Stoute, aboard Conduit in the Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster. The nine-times champion trainer has won every other Classic at least twice, and after 25 previous attempts and five second places, Dettori broke the 34 Year wait after he took up the running with well over two furlongs left to run and soon had the race at his mercy. Dettori was winning the world’s oldest Classic for the fifth time, and delighted the crowd READ MORE.....
