This race has favoured those lower down the weights in recent years and with the ground again riding Heavy, I feel it will favour those in the bottom half of the H/cap.
Willie Mullins has a real strong hand here and my 1st thought was the mare Emma Jane with Ruby Walsh in the plate riding down to 10St 4lb yet he disappointed 1st time out from a break behind Hoopy.
Hoopy got going too late latest, and if taking to the ground could run these into submission and has to be worth a saver @ 6/1.
Going through the form of these though the one I like is 2007 winner Homer Wells, 6th in this last year behind Priests Leap and meets that rival 10lb better, and the 3rd Newbay Prop 5lb better with Chelsea Harbour 15lb worse for the 1 & 3/4 length margin he had a place in front.
His other runner Arbor Supreme (Tony McCoy) could defy his penalty as he appeared to win with something in hand latest.
Homer Well's absence since April last year is no great concern as he has won 1st time out previously and loves to get his toe in.
Line Ball could easily turn the form around with Newbay Prop from their last encounter over hurdles on better terms here but has it to prove at the distance.
Cleni Boy with only 9St 3lb on his back could be the fly in the ointment getting weight all round!
And though I feel I have missed something my choice is.......
Homer Wells win
Danger; and 2nd choice Hoopy
