Emma Lavelles gelding has a tendency to take a grip so the fast pace here should help him settle better than when beaten on his 1st start under rules at Ascot. His penultimate run he won in good style in a big field with a generous pace and wasnt disgraced behind (Ballymore Grade1 contestant) Karabak last time out where he was held up to get the 3fl longer trip and hampered 3 out going for home. His stamina will surely be an asset on the uphill climb and should not be underestimated despite the generous looking 33/1 on offer.
Shoreacres could also go better than his odds of 40/1 imply providing he puts in a clear round!
