CHELTENHAM 2.05 ... KNOCKARA BEAU Win/Place & CHINA ROCK... To Place

China Rock looked fortunate to win last time out when he and Head Of The Posse (fell at the last) were battling out the finish but the fact they were 25 length clear of their nearest persuers gives hope he will stay this extra 3fl.
Previously he ran a good 2nd to yesterday's Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner Go Native in December, again clear of the chasing group, and if building on that could place at decent odds.

Knockara Beau has followed in the path of stablemate Bywell Beau, in that he took the Totepool Premier Kelso Novices' Hurdle (grade 2) before going on to run at the festival last season, and though like Bywell he could become a bit of a Kelso specialist, the way he beat Wendel previously 3rd to Medermit (2nd to Go Native yesterday) and the fact he pulled away up Kelso's hill he will not fail for lack of stamina.
His only defeat's were once on heavy going (pulled up) at Ascot and when hitting 2 out behind out and out stayer Tricky Trickster at Kelso in November when apprentice ridden.
Jockey Jan Faltejsek has won 4 times and came 2nd the other time he has been aboard the gelding and a place (if not winning) looks the worst scenario.

Both just out the money in 4th & 5th with China Rock the nearest
