WEDNESDAY'S SELECTION'S

LINGFIELD 3.35 ... WIBBADUNE @ 5/1
Wibbadune was really unlucky last time out when seemingly going best of all and unable to get a clear passage. Given her style of running she will need the breaks but as there looks to be plenty pace in the race she should be staying on to good effect, and is the choice to win this contest!
At bigger prices Bo McGinty is well H/capped on his best form, and on only his 2nd outing on this surface could go well if consenting to hit the gates running.
Highland Warrior (too big @ 25/1) who likes to come late and fast is another to be interested in if taking to the Polytrack on his 1st ever try, and a 1/2 point place bet @ 17/2 betfair could reap rewards!

minus 1 & 1/2 points

CHEPSTOW 3.50 ... JOLEJOKER @ 12/1
Just 1lb below his last winning mark but ran well here behind the now 114 rated Masterd'Or (runs in the 4.25 here today) 16 month ago.
Richard Johnson been aboard both times he has won and has placed on the 3 other occasions he's ridden this gelding.
He was a 3/4 length 2nd here last March over 3 mile giving the winner 9lb, with the 106 rated Nicto De Beauchene (A winner for us on Saturday gone off 116) a further length in arrears.
That was off 7lb higher than today and meets no rivals in this as highly rated. on those facts he could be well treated here and will make this the Nap bet today.
Conny Nobel & Morenito look the dangers on my ratings!
minus 1 point

Update 5.45

Dropped to same mark as last win here and had a recent pipe opener after a winter break.
1/2 point win!!

3rd ... minus 1/2 point

  1. Hi NoseAhead,
I watched your selection, Wibbadune, but he ran very lacklustre race. Thought he was going well enough round the final bend but disappointed from there on. Ten Down shot out of the stalls like a rocket. It used to be fair two-year-old with Osbourne and has raked in a few quid in prize money since.

  2. I totally agree Jason.
There was no catching Ten Down from the gates. The worst part about it was that Ten Down was 7lb better today than winning a nursery here when with Osbourne, but I tend not to take 2 Yr Old form into the equation too much in an all age H/cap.

    Perhaps I should next time!

  3. Yes, I must admit I wouldn't be tempted to follow a horse just because it was once a decent juvenile. It is remarkable how quickly horses can regress. It's good to see Ten Down has a bit of sparkle about him again.

    Good luck with Thursday's selections.

    Regards,
    Jason
