The day started real well with Nicto de Beauchene winning comfortably by 12 length, and the gelding is entered in another Class3 event (over 35fl) on Monday at Hereford so has another 7fl to contend with there, but travelled nicely until a slight mistake 3 out and could be worth a look if he consents to turn out again.
I don't imagine he will be anywhere near the 12/1 he won at today, but will have to way up the opposition on the final declarations.
Diamond Frontier cost us 1 & 1/2 points after hitting the 5th fence and was staying on again near the end of the contest, looking like we may pull in the 1/2 point place money, but it wasn't to be!
Charles Darwin cost another 1 point but will come on for that run being his 1st outing in 4 months, and he is a full 20lb below his prime so in a similar grade will be winning soon.
In the last at Lingfield a few quid (£4 to be precise) got matched on Suhayl Star in running, and I was surprised to see we got 16's considering it's industry SP was 20/1.
Overall a good return on the day with 13.25 points profit (not including Suhayl Star or Fredo) and hopefully we keep going Onwards and Upwards!
