SOUTHWELL 2.40 ... SWINBROOK/DON PELE
Swinbrook, still on his lowest mark since 4 Years ago has normally needed his 1st run of the season and won 2nd time out both last year and in 2006. Finished 4th in the Bunbury Cup in 2006 when with James Toller off 18lb higher than today so could still be well treated on past form. Missed the break on his return behind Don Pele and surely better than that run having at least won a Class4 h/cap here off this mark.
Needs to break on terms, and if doing so should better his last run.
1 point win .......1/2 point reverse F/C

SOUTHWELL 3.45 ... MUSIC BOX EXPRESS
Ideally drawn for a front runner and will appreciate the drop in trip having made most over 6fl last 3outings.
Stoneacre Baby drawn alongside has a tendency to miss the kick so Music should get an uninterrupted start.
Ducal Regency Red (drawn 3) can hang right coming out the gates and may impede likely fav This Ones For Pat, causing a tightening up to the rails runners leaving our selection clear.
Martingrange Boy is returning from 17 months off and may need another run to get in the winners enclosure, but likes to bowl along and could be the one for the F/C as he normally breaks sharply (drawn 8) and has the assistance of Robert Winston.

LUDLOW 3.35 ... MIZEN RAVEN/SPRING LOVER
Mizen Raven is all the talk for the move to Tim Vaughan but could have most to fear from the Venetia Williams trained gelding, who has either won or placed 9 from 17 outings here and is only 2lb above his best winning mark. Has the stamina for 3 miles but best runs at around this trip as 3 times a winner testifies.
Led for a long way at Doncaster against horses rated a Stone superior in a better race and a return to this quicker going will suit.
His previous 2nd to Fresh Air And Fun is working out with that one going in again since.
The form of Mizen Raven is working out extremelly well however, and will surely be the one to beat and could be the 2 fighting out the finish.
won 1 point win ...... 1/2 point reverse F/C
levels on the race
Marajaa ridden by Chris Catlin looks worth a 1 point wager as he is now 7lb below his last winning mark at this venue and is dropping into this grade for the 1st ever time.
Could take this if only 90% fit against what look Class 5 H/cappers at best!!
minus 1 point beaten 2 & 1/4 length
