EASTER MONDAY'S SELECTION BOX

WARWICK 2.20 ... TUDOR PRINCE @ 16/1 ......Update 1.38 .p.m. NON RUNNER

Tony Carroll has his string in pretty good order. Although only 1 winner he has had 40% in the last fortnight being placed from 17 runners.
Tudor Prince has twice been backed in for this yard so support in the betting would give confidence they expect a good show.
He's never won 1st time out, but 1st time up last season went down less than 3 length in the Transpennine Express at Doncaster against rivals rated up to 20lb superior than the ceiling for this. That race threw out many Class2 winners/performers in the following months and considering he was a short head behind Pusey Street Lady in that event, and PSL ran 2nd in the Cammidge Trophy Listed this season off 91 he looks extremelly well treated at present.
He returns off 15lb lower than the start of last season and getting upward of 8lb from those at the head of the Handicap, on ratings he is a winner waiting to happpen!!
Should handle the quick ground having finished 2nd at both Epsom and at Haydock as a 2Yr Old when with Brian Meehan.
He looks a stand out price and If straight enough, he should be the one to beat.
He looks value for an E/W selection but @ odds of 16/1 I think he's definetely worth the risk!

TUDOR PRINCE Strong 1 point win

REDCAR 3.10 ... EFIDIUM @ 12/1 E/W
We may get some value with Efidium who, a regular here normally runs well at this venue.
He was outclassed on his final run last year but has beaten good sorts here in the past ( Wovoka for one last summer, who runs later in the class4 h/cap) and as normally held up will get a good pace from El Decey, who looks the winner on ratings, and will want to lead but at prohibitive odds @ 10/11 looks worth takin on.
In this large field a true pace looks assured, where Andorn from the Curley yard is another who likes to lead and could take on El dececy in a battle and could well set this up for a finisher which fits the profile of our selection better than most.

EFIDIUM 1/2 point E/W

minus 1 point

REDCAR 3.45 ... COLUMBARD @ 18/1

Irish raider who on best form is well treated returning 16lb lower than last season, and was running off 24lb higher at one point
Has to prove himself on turf as all best so far on All Weather but at the price worth an E/W dropping in class

1/2 point E/W

minus 1 point

FULL RESULT>>

Depending how we get on with these!
IRISH GRAND NATIONAL

I had a quick look at Casey Jones who finished 5th in the RSA chase behind tired horses but was staying on and had subsequent group contenders in arrears when winning at Punchestown in November. This step up in trip could suit and @ 10/1 a 1/2 point win.

Also Guard Champetre who is 9lb lower than winning the Cross Country at Cheltenham.
Perhaps 1/2 point win @ 11/1 ?

minus 1 point

REDCAR 2.00 ... ANOTHER SOCKET
Could be worth a small interest??

Withdrawn at start
