By the time we got the post out Hivikos was shorter than the 14/1 we quoted and it was generally 12/1 so apologies to all there.
With the late withdrawal of 3 runners and a reformed market, he went off 3rd best in the betting @ 5/1, not that it made much difference as he was last of those to complete, with a 2 point loss getting sucked down the drain quicker than Dynorod.
Earlsmedic came out best between the two 1/2 pointers finishing 5th, only 2 length behind the winner, yet it seemed a strange decision for this front runner to be held up.
Robert Winston gave winner High Curragh a positive ride from an outside draw and did well to get the lead from the off and regain it from the strong challenge of the runner up.
Alas, another 1 point down the drain to make it a 3 point loss today.
We will have to do better!!
