TUESDAY'S SELECTION'S

EXETER 3.40 ... MACMAR @ 12/1
Probably much better Chaser than over Hurdles, but latest 2nd with cheekpieces tried was an improvement on similar going.
Looks the stables second string but not the 1st time Kieran Burke has out battled Walford in a finish and he gets weight all round from the rest of the field.
Swordsman put in a better show latest in a conditionals contest and looked to be staying on, and this is easier than the Coral Cup on his penultimate start but looks weighted up to his limit at present.
Might As Well, stablemate of Macmar won by a good distance last time but that was a messy race where many were hampered and the top rated was only 102.
Billyvoddan would look well treated compared to his chase rating, but it's over 4 Yrs since he ran/won a Novices event over hurdles and may find things happening a bit quickly.
We may have value in the selection who Is rated 24lb lower in this sphere than his best over the bigger fences, and giving 6lb took a good scalp in Snoopy Loopy over the larger obstacles last season here.

YARMOUTH 4.20 ROSE BIEN @ 13/2
Her 1st run back behind Kavaloti was decent enough after the break as that one has gone in again off a 3lb penalty beating 80 plus rated rivals.
Her consistency means she gets no respite from the h/capper having stayed around this mark for the most of 2 Years but is sure to run her race and does stay.
Rose Bien was 2nd here 2 seasons back off a 1b higher rating carrying 9St 12lb so the 9St 5lb she has today in this lower grade than lat time out shouldn't be a problem.
Lucky Dancer could improve after only 4 runs but the proven ability over this 2 mile trip will get the preference on this occasion.

YARMOUTH 4.50 COYOTE CREEK E/W @ 25/1
Not the long shot he 1st looks in our opinion as this gelding has been in the first 3 home on 50% of all starts on mostly good...good/firm ground.
Won off 2lb lower last year and though that was over 2 furlong further he was 6 length clear of the 2nd with the top weight (rated 85) around another 3 length further adrift.
Jockey has his 1st ride aboard today but his 5lb claim should be valuable and though a few are in with a chance Buddhist Monk (on Class) Bullet Man (on trainers reputation) Mystery Star (on recent form) our selection should return around the same profit for the E/W stake just for a place, as those would to win.
Obviously a win would be a bonus but we have a strong chance of collecting the place if the remaining 8 all go to post.

1/2 point E/W

  5. Great Result ... My first day following your selections ...Got 14/1 on Betfair ... Started with a 40 point betting bank ...

I notice all your selections today where quite heavily backed .. are your selections just form selections for information linked as well ?

  6. Hi Informer,
We do not profess to have links to stables or inside information. All stables can disguise a handicap mark in relation to their horses ability by running over the wrong trip, course , going etc etc, so who's to say they aren't all trying on the same day?
We tend to ignore the hype surrounding such gossip and rely upon upon hours of research and form reading for our selections!
So far it has stood us well and hopefully will continue to do so!!

    Regards Anthony

  10. Amazing that all 3 where backed so well just from form selection .. It could be the people checking out your blog effecting some of the price.. or just other well informed people checking the form or seeing an edge. I have not checked all your previous selection but i guess its best to take the early price... I would be good to but the Bookies holding the odds when the selections are sent out
