CHELTENHAM 2.45 ... GIDAM GIDAM @ 10/1
Never So Blue steps up in class but has less weight to carry and could go well but only beat 120 rated rivals and was well behind The Sawyer & Appleaday in January.
Le Duc won this last season off 7lb higher but has looked out of sorts this Year and this looks a stronger renewal.
Bob Bob Bobbin can lead but looks held by Obaki De Grissay who is still 11lb higher than his only win and looks to be better on softer going.
He's The Gaffer runs off his highest mark and Seymar Lad refused last time.
Tom George has a line on from of Tana River with his Novice Kilbeggan Blade, and runs Island Flyer here who has been highly tried since landing a hattrick under this jockey last season. The last of those was beating Appleaday before going on to finish a close 2nd to (137 rated) Cornish Set in a Listed event. He was outclassed in the Hennessy Gold Cup and pulled up last time but would rate a threat if putting in a clear round.
Trigger The Light had his form franked when Antonius Caesar won last time but a line through Lyes Green with the selection would mean he has plenty of weight.
Gaora Lane likes to go on in front and has 7lb in hand of Alexanderthegreat from their encounter in January here for a 9 length deficit, but has also 14 length to find with Gidam Gidam from the last time they met in January.
Gidam Gidam seems to have been around for years yet is only 7 Yrs Old and has acheived a great deal in 3 Years. His penultimate run to Out The Black on equal terms looks all the better considering OTB had previously ran well behind (153 rated) Monkerhostin and Irish National winer Niche Market.
Athough his 1st time over these fences, Phil Kinsella is familiar with the horse who jumps soundly, and ran well in the Midlands Grand National last time for most of the way. He should get a good pace here to bring his stamina into play, which, if none the worse for those recent efforts should be the one to beat.

BEVERLEY 3.10 ... MANZILLA @ 14/1
David Nichols sends his battalion for this competitive sprint and luck will surely play a part, but his mare Manzilla looked one to follow last season when accounting for higher rated stablemate Masta Plasta who ended the season himself running off 108 after taking the 18 runner Rockingham Handicap at the Curragh.
Well drawn along the inside runners she should get the strong pace in this big field and with a clear passage should be there at the finish.
Bo McGinty off bottom weight is also feared but the selection had him beat on similar terms when winning her handicap at Thirsk off this mark last May.

BEVERLEY 3.45 ... Fell Pack @ 12/1/King Of The Moors @ 16/1
Fortunate Isle looks well in on his previous win here in 2007, but that was from a low draw? in a 8 runner field where most were hold up types and he got the run of the race when the sprint ensued.
King of The Moors appeals as an alternative at a good price.
He had Trouble Mountain over 5 length behind when winning on good going at Redcar giving him 2lb and today gets 1lb taking into account jockeys claim.
One at the bottom of the weights who also has a handy pitch, is Fell Pack, who has been lumping over 40lb more round over the sticks and carried 19lb more last time he ran on the flat.
He can take a grip but there is usally no hanging about here as those in a good draw tend to want to keep it so the pace is normally good.
He could easily surprise and at 3 times the price of Fortunate Isle appeals as a value risk.
