Just the one for consideration today as to be honest I am taking it easy today to get my head together.
The last few days have seen some close calls and some shockers into the mix as well.
One close call was Ingleby Arch, (Hamilton 3.55) who is out again today and could well win but is on faster going and is not one to take a short price about with a few improver's and others well treated and closely rated on past form.
Hamilton 5.05 ... Moheeb is another who won well last time out on softer going but drops in grade here and could easily follow up but is likely to go off at short odds also.
Yarmouth 4.55 ... Diane's Choice was a consideration as she is still handicapped to win, but after I put her up as a selection on her penultimate outing, she had to be led to post and her wayward tendencies came to the fore again last time. Brandywell Boy is another in the race h/capped to win but it depends on what mood he turns up in and only has a maiden win to his resume on grass from 68 starts.
Todays Selection.......
GOODWOOD 5.15 .. CHOREOGRAPHY @ 16/1 Generally
Kings Caprice is thrown in on past form but the trainer hasn't had a horse placed this season!
Cordell has the assistance of Ryan Moore but trailed in last in the Dubai Duty Free and nearly filled the same spot last time out at Newmarket over a mile. He did go well for a long way and is 5lb lower here and drops in class and trip but has yet to win in 8 attempts on turf.
Den's Gift likes to lead and could make them all go back down to this trip.
He ran 2 solid races here last season off similar marks over a mile and this drop in distance shouldn't hinder his chances and is worth a saver @ 11/1.
The one I like is Choreography, who has the cheekpieces back on for the first time this season having ran his best races in them last Year at Brighton where he scored 3 times on firm gd/firm going, so we know he handles the downhill tracks and fast going, and his stamina saw him through on the rising ground.
Paul Doe been aboard all wins since joining this yard, and also having stamina for a mile a strong run contest should suit from what looks a better draw than last time here where he was always to the rear after being dropped in behind.
Carried bigger weights for those successes so off 8St 10lb should be more competitive with 10lb less on his back for the last of them.
A line through Moonlight Man would give Rum Jungle a chance to go close to the selection and could be the one to follow him home.
Choreography 1 point
