THURSDAY'S SELECTION'S

CHESTER 3.15 ... VIVA RONALDO ... 1 pt E/W @ 20/1 ... Ladbrokes/Will Hill

Viva Ronaldo was 2nd on his 1st ever outing here over 5 furlongs as a 2Yr Old from a wide draw, and got going after an interupted run as the winner had gone.
He took a York maiden along the way before being highly tried, most notably when 4th in the July stakes behind Group contenders Sayif (now rated 118) and Classic Blade (108) and Prolific (won next start in the Richmond off 103) who all went on to go close in the Middle Park (group 1) behind David Watchman's (116 rated) Bushranger.
Then his next visit here he won a 6fl Stakes contest by 2.5 length before trying the Wetherby's 300,000 on going softer than ideal, then Redcar's 2Yr Old Trophy 6 fl (Listed) when running on near the finish giving weight to those in front who are rated higher than the ceiling for this.
The winner of that event, Total Gallery, won the Pavillion Stakes 1st time up this season confirming the form as strong.
His 1st outing this season in the Easter Stakes (Listed) over a mile should have brought him on, and though giving weight to his rivals here, with his nearest rated rival 7lb inferior today he could take all the beating in this lower Class event.
The early price of 20/1 looks generous and should represent some value for a 1 pt E/W wager!
