GOODWOOD 5.45
A competitive looking sprint where the pace looks to be with the high numbers.
Spic N Span likes to go out in front and get on with it which will suit Bluebok and also Brandywell Boy, who is also amongst the higher drawn side. There isn't much between them at the revised weights from the last time they met and the one who looks to have a bit in hand of them both is Step It Up.
Step It Up beat Bluebok on his 1st run for this yard since coming over from Ireland, and today meets him 6lb better so should uphold the form by around 2 lengths If translating his all weather form back to turf.
Brazilian Bush another from Milton Bradley's stable (who owns and trains this one) won here on soft going off 15lb higher last season. He was around 6 length behind Step It Up when they last met where he made most the running so if adopting similar tactics with others on the far side could set things up for Step It Up, if he carries his progress over to grass.
On the stands side Cosmic Destiny is another C/D winner who is likely to appreciate a return to this venue off 6lb lower than chasing home (79 rated) Malaporpism, to finish 2nd two seasons back and is now racing off a winnable mark.
He also meets Bluebok on 6lb better than when beating him at Wolverhampton in December and looks the most likely winner from the lower drawn stalls.
Overall a few doubts about the pace angle and for that reason not a betting race, but if you feel the need for a wager I would suggest one from either side to 1/2 point or smaller stakes.
Step It Up (high) and Cosmic Destiny (low). From the pace perspective I would say Step It Up the stronger opinion.

GOODWOOD 4.00
Kayf Aramis looks the most likely winner here but @ 8/15 on is no value whatsoever considering he meets Takafu 13lb worse than when 1/2 length in front of him last time they contested a race in 2007.
He normally needs a run or two to get him ready, but a resurgent Takafu could easily gain revenge and @ 4/1 a place on betfair could be worth a small interest.
American Spin untried over the trip could improve to get it with only 4 starts to his resume.
Sweetheart is the other returning from the jumping game who could pose a threat, and again not a race I am willing to get heavily involved in!
The one I like in GOODWOOD 2.15 is Herschel, who looked to want a trip when running over shorter here last year, but the market is friendless and the fact the last 4 winners of this event have been drawn in the top 4 highest stalls I will pass on this one also.
Proven to be the case again with the 1st 3 home drawn 7,8,10,

LINGFIELD 4.55 ... HIGHLAND HARVEST
3 times a winner here in better races than today and 16/1 too big if over his disappointing comeback run.. Watch the Market!
