WEDNESDAY'S SELECTION'S

CHESTER 2.45 ... DESERT SEA... 1 point win @ 16/1 WARSAW PACT ... 1/2 point E/W @ 16/1

After much deliberation about the draw and going, the conclusion comes down to Desert Sea for the win purpose and Warsaw Pact E/W.
Deserrt Sea had both Inchnadamph & Som Tala beaten at Doncaster 2 seasons back and though meeting them on slighty worse terms has improved since that 4Yr Old effort and stays this trip well.
His All Weather form shows he should handle the turns of Chester, and his defeats in the Cesarewitch in 2007 and the Northumberlaand Plate and Shergar Cup last Year all came on soft going so good/firm ground looks a requisite.
He travelled smoothly on his return and picked up well to beat Gala Evening under this Jockey and was giving Downhiller 11lb when interupted in his run at Ascot last season and only concedes 2lb here.

Warsaw Pact should be fit from a couple of runs over hurdles and looks worthy of an E/W wager as Philip Hobbs just failed with a similar rated type in Fair Along 2 seasons back under Spencer from a similarly high draw.
He meets Halla San on vastly better than over the sticks, and ran well when stepped up in trip after running here over 7fl as a 2Yr Old.

CHESTER 3.15 ... INVINCIBLE FORCE 1/2 point E/W @ 40/1

Paul Green's gelding normally front runs and though not ideally drawn has the speed if getting a good break.
Meets Strike Up The Band (Best Drawn Today) on 9lb better than in the Hong Kong Sprint last July and if Franny Norton can get a good run through should be thereabouts, but will need luck in running.
He led for a long way in a Listed event here in August gone, beaten less than a length behind Green Manalishi and has a 7lb pull with him too!
