DONCASTER 8.15 ... LAZY DARREN @ 14/1 S.James... Bet365
Fit from jumping and well treated on past form where he was staying on over the mile trips he contested. Took on strong contenders over jumps and worth a try at this trip back on the flat

Catterick 4.45 Red Cape @ 8/1
Been looking at this one as the 2 heading the market 'Conjecture & Maison Dieu' have both got form lines with Angaric.
Angaric finished 4.5 length behind Ruth Carr's runner last time out.
Last win came off 29lb higher on the All Weather but won his turf h/cap off 23lb higher so arguably well treated.
The 3.25 length 7th Splash The Cash won since and finished 4th in the class4 3.35 race here today.
Ran over 7fl last time for a long way and this is the 1st time in this grade on turf so could be better than this lot and worth a 1/2 point wager!

CATTERICK 3.00 BRUT @ 11/1 Betfred ... 10/1 S.James BOG
A lot of Rain about in the North East of England so come race time the going could well have changed to the soft side of good.
Malapropism is attractively handicapped on old form returning on 17lb better than the start of last season where he ran well 1st time up.
Could be that was a one off as he hasn't done so in any other year and jockey struggling for places never mind winners, has a bad draw but that would be negated if it comes up soft as they tend to come stands side on a softer surface.
His run here last July he was 2.5 length behind Nomoreblondes giving him 9lb and gets 9lb (including jockeys claim) today so should from a h/cap perspective have plenty in hand over him.
Windjammer (normally needs a run) won this off 3lb higher last year on good/soft going getting 8lb from Brut who was 5 length behind, with Strensall giving a 1lb and 2.75 length further in arrears.
Brut comes out to the tune of 15lb better for this rematch and also has a 12lb swing with Strensall and Ridley Didley for their encounter at Musselburgh 2 weeks ago for a 3 length deficit.
His last win was here in a similar grade off 11lb higher than today with Mr Rooney (now 4lb worse) and Strensall (2lb worse) well behind.
Mr Rooney looks held at the weights by Liberty Ship and Racoon and If the weather deteriorates it may not suit Racoon who has been tubed in the past and wouldn't like any rain.
Brut has 3 wins and 3 places from 9 runs at this trip from all 15 visits here, and Amy Ryan takes off 5lb to put him on equal bottom weight.
She has 2 wins from 5 rides this season here and trainer has a commendable +43.83 win to level stakes over the last 5 years.
Should handle any change in the going and looks to have a lot in his favour for a strong show.
If the going comes up soft Malapropism would look the one to be the danger and consider for a F/C

CATTERICK 3.35 ... OBE GOLD @ 14/1 Generally
This was a selection I put forward in March and he duly obliged by 2.5 length when dropped into a Class4 Linfield h/cap after chasing home the 94 rated Arganil at Southwell.
Arganil since won the Hever Sprint Listed and wasn't disgraced in the Temple Stakes (group 2) against horses rated up to 116.
Obe Gold has been himself running in better company and can be excused his last run when missing the break when the horse ducked away as the jockey tried to remove the blinds.
His penultimate outing was in a 0-96 against rivals 11lb superior than the ceiling for this and has dropped 2lb since to get into this 0-85 event.
That race is working out well as the winner has placed in a class2 since and 2nd has been 3rd,2nd,4th on his next 3 outings in class2 h/caps and the 4th has since been beaten less than a length in a class3.
Paul Quinn was aboard stablemate Leagle Eagle (rated 80) when Wyatt Earp was held off this mark at Thirsk but he would rate a bigger threat than Johannes on the revised terms.
Overall, Obe Gold is another who won't mind the going and should have too much class for these.
