Meeting Abandoned!
AYR 3.30 STEEL BLUE
Well in on past form but not looking to be resembling anything like his best in recent outings.
With the exception of John Keats whom he beat on similar terms last season, he is more suited to the 6fl trip than the majority of the field.
Has dropped 9lb this season back to the mark of the 1st of 2 wins last year and handles most going so could easily pop up if the mood takes him!

AYR 4.00 BRIERTY @ 7/1 S.James ... 13/2 Bet365,BlueSQ, V.C.
Last years winner Rothesay Dancer looks vulnerable here off 17lb higher carrying top weight considering that has been her only win at the trip in 82 starts on grass.
Dorn Dancer is 8lb lower than last season for the 1/2 length margin she finished behind in 2nd place, which gives her a massive turn around in the weights, but off 65 she also looks vulnerable.
Brierty's last run over a mile looked a trip too far when beaten favourite, but her previous outing off 2lb higher behind the smart Colt Secret Society is working out really well, with the 4th and 5th having won since, and the 3rd finishing 2nd to Bunbury Cup 2nd Captain Brilliance.
Secret Society finished 2nd on his penultimate outing when stepped up to a mile in the Britannia Stakes to another smart Colt Fareer, (where both hold entries in the Abu Dhabi International and the Totesport mile) and has also won since in a 7fl Class2 handicap off 14lb higher.
Brierty of course isn't a miler but those efforts are strong in the context of this, and the drop to 6fl looks in her favour having won her only try at this distance.
Hopefully, with the forecast heavy rain missing the track, she should run a big race.
Brierty 2 points @ 7/1
