CATTERICK RACES E/W Double

CATTERICK 3.30 NUIT SOMBRE @ 16/1 Generally
Bold Mark looks a likely winner but @ 11/4 is short in the betting and there looks to be plenty pace in this so it's likely to go to something with the ability to stay a bit further.
Nuit Sombre is really well handicapped on past form and finished a close 2nd last year in this event and though all runs here have been with some sort of headgear has gone well with and without in the past.
Will need a career best but has gone close in 4 of the past 6 seasons 1st time out, winning one of those without the aids fitted, and Jockey/trainer combo have around a 25% strike rate here and won with Ykikamoocow early last month here 1st run of the season.
Although he has a few pound to find with Johhny Lester's Hair form their Beverley encounter last season, he tried to make all from a mediocre draw and used too much energy early on with the going softer than ideal.
Should find the faster ground more to his liking here and well enough treated for a bold show if fit enough to do himself justice.

CATTERICK 4.00 MY GACHO @ 8/1 Generally
Another Jockey /trainer combo with a decent strike rate (34%) here.
Last time he ran off anything near this mark he won at Leicester last season off 3lb lower by 3.75 lengths.
Mark Johnson's gelding has been running over further on the all weather where he ran up to marks in the low 90's and returns to this lower grade having his 1st run at the track and taking a slight drop in class.
Trainer and jockey (jockey rode a double from only 2 rides) won with his only runner here early last month and another to consider should all 8 runners go to post.

1/2 point E/W double

minus 1 point
