HAYDOCK 3.30 MALT OR MASH 1 pt E/W @ 33/1 Lads, Sky, Corals, V.C, Bet365
Luca Cumani won this last season with Mad Rush and clearly this will have been the target for Falcativ.
Malt Or Mash has gone well 1st time up each season to date, and won the November Heritage Handicap at the end of his 3Yr Old season beating Luca Cumani's Sanbuch (now rated in the high 100's) the higher rated stablemate of this years challenger, before winning 1st time out last year when he and the 2nd were 15 length clear of the field in an all weather Listed event.
Was highly tried in Group class afterward and dropped 5lb for this return to handicap company and his best runs have been on good/firm going.
Clearly risky after being off for so long but Richard Hannon has his team well forward and can get one ready. Patrick Hills an able substitiute for Richard Hughes and the higher drawn have a good record in past years in this race.
Looks to be value @ 33/1 and 1 point E/W the suggested stake.

You showed great discipline yesterday avoiding any wagers because of uncertain ground conditions. With myself this has been a problem with my home circuit in New York under constant wet conditions for the past month.
ReplyDeleteHave to learn from an expert like yourself that it is best to avoid then force a wager during these course conditions.
Thank you, and I wish you much success!

Hi Jake,
ReplyDeleteOver the past 2 weeks the going has been changing dramatically with the adverse weather we are experiencing. One day we can have soft going and 100 miles down the road it is firm!!
The problem is when i am doing a lot of research the previous evening, the Racecourses often leave it late to update going changes on the day of racing and basically analysis is worthless! Perhaps I should be a bit more disciplined if the truth be known.
I noticed when reading your blog on Tuesday you had a similar approach with the Storms you have had your way.
Thanks for stopping by and Good Luck with your venture...
