Not long been with Chris Grant but Doris's Gift should find this stiff course bringing his stamina into play whilst the fences are more forgiving than at the likes of Musselburgh and Newcastle on previous chase outings.
Runs off 17lb lower in this discipline than over hurdles so is arguably well treated and unexposed after only 6 chases so could have been found a decent opportunity to break his duck over the larger obstacles against some doubtful stayers and out of form opponents.
There isn't much between Uptown Lad and Paperchaser from their encounter at Hexham where Uptown won, and they would rate the dangers on recent form.

SOUTHWELL 5.00 OCEAN LEGEND
With only a maiden win to his credit (at this course last March) from 21 All Weather outings I was expecting a bigger price on Ocean Legend, but he did beat a good horse in Allied powers in that event and his other 2 visits here have been off 6lb higher than today and was only beaten 0.75 and 1.25 length respectively.
His other visits here he has broke well and stayed front rank and not badly drawn for those tactics with Jerry O'Dwyer a regular jockey.
Count Ceprano is one I have been watching for a while as he has dropped 17lb down the ratings since leaving Mark Ushers Yard and it's only a matter of time before he hits form.
Connor Dore's stable are finding winners hard to come by and there has to be a doubt how he will handle the track on his 1st visit.
One at a bigger price perhaps worth considering is course specialist Dado Mush who on his best form had Ours 3.5 length in arrears here in the past and is better off at weights today.

With only 9lb between the field a tricky contest and a No Bet Race!
