Normally Hindu Kush is a front runner and Adrian Nicolls had him out the back all the way from the off. Maybe they were trying different tactics today or perhaps this has been a training exercise for his entry in the Cesarewitch next month, otherwise Hindu Kush wasn't once asked to be put into the race until the home straight to end up around 6 length behind the winner, but still finished LAST.
I hold my hands up when I make a poor call but the way this was ridden today went against all his other form and was a disappointing run.
Storm Of Applause has always looked a hard ride but made Rhys Flint work real hard today just to keep in touch and get into the places. Shame he wasn't working overtime on it as with a 2 point loss today some overtime is needed to get back on the winning trail.
