Diamond ! ? !

CARLISLE 3.45 ... STAGECOACH DIAMOND @ 9/1
Stablemate Darina's Boy looks too old at 14Yrs but no doubt this has been the plan for Stagecoach Diamond who is yet to win a Chase in 21 starts. Most of those runs been in Class2,3 and 4 h/caps and stays well enough where he has been placed in 10 of those so his consistency means he doesn't get much respite from the assessor.

But now drops in class from last 3 runs where he met one too good in higher rated stablemate of Top Dressing 3 runs back on heavy going, but including jockeys claim gets weight off Top Dressing today.
Next time beaten by Wogan (rated 120) who won his next outing in the Grimthorpe off a low weight (off 129) with rivals up to the 150 mark behind.
Eventual 3rd COE, (stablemate of Stagecoach Diamond), himself rated 15lb higher than this contest shows how much improved Wogan is this season.
The 2nd from that event was favourite 'Presenting Forever', a previous 30 length winner in a lower grade 27fl Sedgefield h/cap so met 2 good rivals in defeat.
Last time out for Stagecoach Diamond looked a trip too far at 4 miles where he led for a long way to around this distance in a Class2 (0-140) at Doncaster when running 3lb out of the handicap proper.
Off his correct mark here back in a 0-110 should have a good chance for the Jockey/trainer combination who won this for the last 2 season's with a similar sort in Super Road Train.
Master Sebastian at the top of the weights would rate my main danger and be my choice for a small stake r/f/c.

A 80%-20% win/place wager could cover stakes if finding one too good as the current 9/1 looks a bit tight for a straight E/W but for me basically an all or nothing win wager.
