HAYDOCK 1.55 ... MIKO de BEAUCHENE @ 9/1

On evidence of recent years a low weighted runner has the advantage!
This year I fancy that Miko de Beauchene will be the one to buck the trend, being the class horse in the field!!!

Kandjar d'Allier is a real consistant sort and should be thereabouts and has 2 wins in decent handicaps here in his profile and gets in here on a nice low weight but has he the class for this?
Cloudy Lane has 4 wins here in handicaps and can carry the weight well, as when 4th in the Betfair chase behind Snoopy Loopy but has yet to win in this class and meets Opera Mundi on 18lb worse than in a Class2 H/cap here in Nov 2007.
Opera Mundi just won that event from 136 rated Heez A Dreamer (and the 3rd rated 119) so will have to step up on that here off 5lb higher, but has a Tongue Tie fitted for the 1st time so could possibly improve a little if his breathing has been a problem.
The selection however is proven in these big races having 2 Group 3's already under the belt and has won 3 of his 9 chases at this distance, the last of them here in the Red Square Vodka Gold Cup last Febuary where he and the 2nd (Flintoff) were 19 length clear of their nearest persuers.
D'argent was 4th in that race and though now 10lb better off with Miko de Beauchene, may struggle to make up for the 26 length deficit he was behind!
Miko de Beauchene to win
D'argent for the F/C

Fell.... Arghhh ... Dont you love jumps racing!
