MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND

Something to think about!!

I see them Fritzel kids are in a helluva dilemma this weekend - they just can't think what to get their sister for mothers day !!

SATURDAY'S SELECTION'S

HAYDOCK 3.45 ... COQ HARDI @ 9/2 NON RUNNER
Peter Bowen's charge looks the one to beat, having split the chasers (150 rated winner) Kicks For Free & (158 rated) Special Envoy in 3rd last October. That was an excellent effort considering Special Envoy had split the highly rated Inglis Drever & Kasbah Bliss in a Class1 grade2 Newbury Hurdle the previous year.
Coq Hardi is more consistent at this trip over Hurdles than the 3 miles he was running over last season and hasn't took to the larger obstacles as well as expected.
Ran well after the winter break at Cheltenham on his return and should be cherry ripe for this and has been dropped 2lb in the interim.

Sue Smiths gelding Be Brief (UPDATED 13.40 pm: NON RUNNER) has a decent weight and will more than likely go off vying for favourite, after his run behind Tarablaze, who subsequently franked the form by taking the Albert Bartlett.

Her other runner Flake (at 4 times the price) looks a real battler and shouldn't be discounted as a place looks the worst option for him!
Prince Taime looks too short @ 2/1 and has it to prove at the trip stepping up 4fl, and is given the swerve for that reason.

Federstar (UPDATED 13.40 pm: NON RUNNER) is getting his more like his preferred going for the 1st time since winning on his introduction to Hurdles and a small F/C could pay dividends if he takes to the better going.

Coq Hardi ... 1 point win
Flake ... 1/2 point F/C

minus 1/2 point

Lingfield Update coming.....Apologies for no update!

BANGOR 3.55 ... BAGAN
Bagan beat the 144 rated Roman Ark by 12 length when last winning in a grade higher than today, and takes a massive drop in class here off 3lb lower than last outing.
A course and distance winner who has won 1st time out and though carrying top weight has the class to see it through!
Drop in trip will suit.

minus 1 point
