MONDAY'S SELECTION'S

YARMOUTH 4.30 ... MUT'AB ... 1/2 pt E/W @ 12/1
Interesting Clive Brittain has kept this Colt in it's entire, whereas all his competitors have been gelded.
He had been highly tried as a 2Yr Old splitting subsequent Group winner, Campanologist & Military Power when making much of the running in a 7fl fast ground Sandown maiden.
He was tried in Listed & Group company thereafter and was dropped into a Class5 for his only win here in a 4 runner contest. Quite what he achieved there is up for debate as no winners have emerged from that event, but he won it quite comfortably.
He was given a mark of 94 for that facile victory and runs here off 17lb lower for the 1st time dropped into a Class4 since.
Earlsmedic looks too short in the betting off top weight and represents no value, as does Street Power for what looks a step up in class and who has yet to prove himself on turf.
The Tatling has only 2 wins at the trip (from over 30 attempts at 6fl) in 109 turf outings and has to be passed over for that 3rd win at 12 Yr Old.
There looks sure to be plenty pace on with For Life, who from a low draw won a 16 runner H/cap here from the front and will make them all go & also Divinsky, another front runner in the line up.
And with Imprimis Tagula (yet to win on turf) likely to want to keep the stands rail position, Ahmed Ajtebi should get a good tow along from the outside stall where he can chose to drop in off the pace or make his own running.
Tried over as far as 10fl his stamina should be an asset, and if retaining the tactical speed he showed as a 2Yr Old for this drop in trip he should be thereabouts.
Even though he could easily win off this mark, the early 12/1 on offer looks value for an E/W wager and a 1/2 pt E/W is the call.

plus 1.1 points EDIT: plus 1.5 points Only 7 runners 1/4 odds ;)
