The way things have been going over the last week after the Holiday break, we have come to the conclusion to take it easier for a while until we recoup some of the points lost this month.
The 1.00 pm deadline we were setting for ourselves is still in the program, and we will still deliver the Text service/email to members in ample time to get any selections On for their respective races.
Spotting horses which are Handicapped to win their races before they are over bet is still our priority to take full advantage of market prices. An example HERE is Coq Hardi who we thought well handicapped in March (ended up a non-runner) and has just won its last 2 outings, albeit at restrictive odds ( the latest 3.00 Uttox today) since we thought it well h/capped.
Another we put up being the Sue Smith trained Bowlders Beach which we twice highlighted, the first time for a Newcastle H/cap where he also didn't run, and the latest @ 25/1 HERE on 17th April. Only then for it to open @ 16/1 and win @ 11/1 at the end of the month during our Holiday absence!
Today he is around the 11/2 mark so the best price was taken last time out and unfortunately days like this are all part and parcel of this game, and though it doesn't help when losing points from the betting bank, we have to look at it for the long term profitability to continue to Nose Ahead.
We may consider playing small stakes 1/2 point F/C wagers, to minimise losses and maximising returns for the outlay involved, but this will obviously consist of less bets and possibly longer losing runs.
Your comments on this would be appreciated, and will be kept private from the public domain, to be used only for our use to help make the service better for all involved!!
Regards Anthony...
