Summary of Results

The assumption that the higher drawn runners, who avoided the ground which was obviously cut up over the last 2 days at York, proved profitable after the 1st 5 races all showed that the runners who opted for the far side after the recent rain all failed to collect.
With the morning prices for the main selection Rising Shadows starting @ 20/1 in places to come in for support to 10/1 confirmed the market thought he was a stong contender but the rain went against his chances from the low drawn runnners.
Baron's Spy proved a more profitable selection just to place @ the 8/1 adsvised, available from 4 hours before the start, and was surprisingly still a 10/1 shot achievable until the start of the contest.
The high drawn dictated the outcome with Valery Borzov dictating the running going on from the start to win by around 2.5 plus lengths.
On this showing he will more than likely be aimed for the Ayr Gold Cup after the summer campaign and will be a strong contender given a good draw and prefered ground.

With the rain coming nothing from the low numbers really got into it in the 1st 4 races and I was surprised that no trainer suggested to his jockey to come stands side.
Fortunately for us we collected the 8/1 ( O.K. some of you got more) for a place and it meant a welcome 3 point return for the account.

The nights racing proved more profitable with 6 points profit coming the way of The Osteopath to pull back some much needed returns after a nightmare start to the month, and though not out of the Drowning Pool, the Head is above the Water for the 1st time this month to give 9 points profit and some encouragement to Nose Ahead!
