LINGFIELD RACES

LINGFIELD 2.45 ... FIEFDOM @ 8/1 Lads, Victor Chandler

Bilberry looks a weak favourite for this having beat a 55 rated rival when winning here last September and is worth taking on.
The last race Fiefdom contested looked a stronger event than this with the 4th (80 rated) Halison Chancer going on to beat market second favourite, Balata by 2.5 length next time out when dropped 12lb to a mark of 68.
Salient (the 3rd) was often just denied off marks in the high 80's in Class 2 h/caps here and the 2nd horse, the improving Elisiario was on a hat trick bid.
Winner, Last Three Minutes wasn't disgraced next time when beaten 1/2 length at York in a Class2 behind rivals rated 88 & 91 respectively, and had finished a long way in front of Highland Harvest at Ascot in April.
Highland Harvest in turn has 2lb in hand of Dichoh from their May encounter here, but Dichoh travelled the better that day and has the tongue tie refitted, worn when winning his last 2 in claimers along with a visor this time and he would rate a threat.
Fiefdom normally hits form around this time of year and looks a 7fl specialist with all 3 success' here at the trip, the 1st on turf when off 8lb higher.
Being one of the top riders round here George Baker a good booking and could be the deciding factor.

LINGFIELD 3.15 SIR EDWIN LANDSEER @ 25/1 Bet365 ... 20/1 P.Power Vic Chandler

Another ridden by George Baker and this one returns from a break.
Ran only 3 times on the All Weather winning his 1st at Kempton then won at Nad al Sheba off 10lb higher, then was beaten by subsequent group performer Star Crowned on the A/W there.
Can go well fresh and gone to a yard who can get one ready. Looks well enough treated but taking on some in form rivals so an E/W investment the call.
Elhamri (4th last year and now 6lb better) and Peak District the ones to beat.
