DONCASTER 2.05 ... CORNUS @ 22/1 Corals ... 20/1 Generally
Hustle would have a good chance on form but the going has surely gone against him.
One Way Or Another from the Jonathan Gask stable is the unknown quantity as he handles the going and should stay but how well h/capped off he is off 88 is debatable.
Cornus doesn't appear to be a 7fl horse on what he has achieved so far but stays the trip (and further) well.
He ran a promising race on his visit here last November on soft going and had finished a short head 2nd to Ayr Silver Cup winner here last March at this trip, also with cut in the ground so will handle conditions.
James Doyle been on board for those visits and also for 5 of his 10 wins so is familiar with the horse.
Although he looks held by Hustle and Kiwi Bay on past efforts I believe he will handle the conditions better than those two as he handles soft going well and the more rain the better.
Looks a nice price for a 1 point wager
minus 1 point
