The drift in the market said Folio wasn't wanted and he never looked like he was travelling well. His effort was basically dismal.
Things just seem to be transpiring against me at the moment, as even the 2 non account bets I had in an attempt to recoup the 1 point lost on Folio went adrift.
The last one on First Swallow was beaten by an enterprising ride by Tony Hamilton who hit the gates running and had them beat from the off so no complaints there.
A complaint is in order on the earlier bet on Dickie Le Davoir, which went down the hard shoulder as he pulled to the outside lane when travelling nicely, he had to jump a Cone left out on the track and that was his chance over.
Had they said to all persons betting before the off their respected selections would have obstacles in their way I doubt many would place a wager, so how the BHA can allow the result of a race to stand when these things happen just isn't part of the sport in my opinion.

Yes the stewards enquiry was definitely booed last night, We thought it was children playing about putting cones on the track. With the amount of money gambled everyday on horse racing, this sort of thing shouldn't be happening.
ReplyDeleteHi Stephen,
ReplyDeleteIf it happened in a footy match where the ball hit a tin can and went off goal there would be an uproar.
As you can tell I was a bit p*ssed off as you get no compensation for losing under these circumstances, but no point in dwelling on it you just got to look forward and move on ;)
