Phantom Whisper only ran 4 times previously at this trip last season and not beaten far the 3 times on soft going.
The best of them 1.5 length behind The Snatcher giving him weight but is 9lb better off today.
He won over 6 furlongs on soft here last July off 10lb higher when beating Millfield Dreams (better on faster) by a good 2.5 length giving him 15lb when only touched with the whip once on the home run. He was last until the 3fl mark and picked up real strong in the final 3 furlongs and won with something in hand.
A repeat of that effort should see him go real close in this as he had Signor Peltro another 2.5 length further in arrears in that event and he went on to beat Guilded Warrior on near equal terms 3 runs later.
I was tempted to go E/W but again I feel an all or nothing bet as the way he won here last summer, getting a smooth run through should be finishing again strongly and pick these up in the last furlong.
