YORK EBOR

YORK 3.25 DEUTSCHLAND 1 pt E/W @ 20/1 Lads, S.James 16/1 Others
Willie Mullins has his horses in real good form and sends 2 for this and a line through Rajik (who won his next 2 outings) would give Deutschland the edge over stablemate Sesenta.
Rajik also took on Drunken Sailor and finished late on the scene to finish within a neck distance to him, who had previously run within 2 length to Changingoftheguard.
Changingoftheguard could well win this but @ 2/1 represents no value and looks worth taking on.
Deutschland has strong form over staying distances over the jumps and his 6 length behind 133 rated Galway Hurdle Winner Bahrain Storm was franked when Bahrain went on to win the Guiness 1.6fl flat race at Galway off 98 against some higher rated rival the very next day.
He would prefer a bit more cut in the ground if his runs over jumps are taken at face value but travels well in his races and has won on good/firm at Navan and chased home 2 decent types in Aran Concerto and Barker in the Powers Gold Cup on good ground at Fairyhouse in April.
Relatively unexposed on the flat which many winners of this race have had similar profiles and comes here at the top of his game.
Mick Kinane an excellent booking who has a cool head in these staying races and looks some value for an E/W selection.
