BEVERLEY RACES

BEVERLEY 3.10 ... RYEDANE 1/2 pt E/W @ 25/1 SJ,VC,Bet365,Sky

BEVERLEY 3.10 ... KYSER CHIEF 1/2 pt E/W @ 33/1 VC,Lads,Bet365,Sky

Splitting 2 point stakes in this as there looks to be some value in both these runners.

The high draw bias hasn't been so prominent this season here and Avertuoso ran a good race from the one box last time out behind Select Committee.
Select Committee won that well and looks the one to beat as he has won twice and placed 4 from 8 runs here, but he has got stall 3 to overcome today where last time he was one of 3 in the high berths from the first 4 home.
Was 3.5 length 2nd in this last season yet is 7lb higher today and King Of Swords (6th last year) a further 3 length behind meets him on 17lb better.
King Of Swords has got stall 2 so will need loads of luck coming from behind as normal.

Firstly, Ryedane last ran here in June off 2lb lower and only failed by just over a 1/4 length where he finished strongly when carrying 9St 8lb in Class5.
That was from a worse draw than today in a grade higher race, and has bottom weight of 8St 5lb after running well until last time out on the all Weather.
Was just collared in the dying strides at Newcastle in which the winner and the 2nd have both won since.
His penultimate run is the interesting on where he finished just behind recent winner Wicked Wilma, where the winner Tagula Breeze had recently split Captain Scooby and Spirit Of The West with Caranbola further in arrears a month earlier.
Those 3 runners appear to want softer going whereas Ryedane is a proven performer on quicker going.
Has won over 6fl so this stiff finish over this 5fl shouldn't hinder his chances too much as long as he is kept to a position for a clear run.

Secondly, Kyser Chief has drawn the 9 box but can break well, and Kelly Harrison back in the saddle who gave him a good front running ride to win at Ripon on fast going in a similar grade contest.
He missed the kick from the stalls at Newcastle last time behind King Of Swords and ran within 1.25 length to Select Committee on soft going previously.
He meets him on 7lb better terms from that encounter and has a similar weight as Ryedane taking into account the jockeys 3lb claim.

Both look worth an interest given their respective running styles off low weights and a 1/2 pt E/W on both runners the suggestion.

Plus 2.625 points
